KATHMANDU, March 9: In view of the upcoming local elections, the Election Commission (EC) is deploying chief election officer, election officers and other support staff to the grounds from April 16.
EC spokesman Surya Prasad Sharma said that before the deployment of officials, the election body will be provided training on election management.
"The commission has received full report of the local level restructuring commission so we will now train our entire focus on internal preparations before deploying staffers to the local level," said Sharma.
