UML to deploy its local representatives for market monitoring

KATHMANDU, July 18: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, has announced to deploy its local people's representatives to monitor the market in view of soaring inflation.


UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali shred this information at an event organised in the capital today by the party Department of Consumers' Welfare Protection and Good Governance. They decision comes in the wake of sky-rocketing prices of essentials due to interferences by middlepersons and weak market regulation

Gyawali stressed the need for controlling inflation making the issue of consumers a common agenda.


Chief of the Consumers' Welfare Protection and Good Governance committee of the party Yagya Raj Sunuwar accused the government of failing to tame the unbridled inflation in the country.
