According to the Chief Election Commissioner, the commission would get printers within next three days.
The EC is buying two additional printers for printing the voters ID cards, in addition to the four printers it already has.
The commission on Thursday had decided to print 12.3 million voter ID cards for the upcoming polls.
Though the EC has decided to buy printing papers from among the listed suppliers, it will print the statistical details of the voters itself.
The commission will print the name of voter, his or her photo, address, date of birth, citizenship certificate number and a serial number of ID card, among other details on the front side of ID card.
Asked when the EC would print the voter ID cards, Uprety said the commission was likely to begin printing them by Monday.
According to EC officials, the commission has planned to distribute voter ID cards a week before the election.
