KATHMANDU, August 29: The Election Commission (EC) has extended the deadline for the elected people’s representatives of the CPN-UML and the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) that split recently to choose their party.

Earlier last week, CPN–UML and JSP split, giving rise to two new political parties – CPN (Unified Socialist) and Democratic Socialist Party after President Bidya Devi Bhandari issued a ‘party-split’ ordinance.
