KATHMANDU, May 14: Election Commission (EC) has introduced a vote count directive, barring the use of mobile phones inside the counting centers.
Issuing a directive on Sunday, the EC has said that no one except chief returning officers, returning officers and security officials of the concerned municipalities and rural municipalities can take the mobile phone sets inside the counting centers.
Similarly, according to the directive, the ballot paper marked in any kind of ink (black, blue, green, red, etc,) except pencil by polling officer will be valid.
If the slip of a ballot paper provided by the polling official to the voter is found along with the ballot paper inside the ballot box, the slip will be separated from the ballot papers, said EC.
