Earthquake death toll reaches 8,604

KATHMANDU, May 18: The death toll from the April 25 devastating earthquake that was followed by several aftershocks including the powerful one on May 12 has reached 8,604 as of Monday morning, according to the latest updates made available by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the Ministry sources, 8544 dead bodies were handed over to the families of the deceased and 6, 269 injured are undergoing treatment.


Similarly, 66 thousand and 69 Nepal Army personnel, 44 thousand 629 Nepal Police and 21 thousand 812 Armed Police Force personnel are mobilized for the rescue and relief operation. RSS
