In order to promote the videos on social media, nominations for best Social Media Award was announced. The award was called under 16 different categories amidst an event held on Sunday.
The award shall be presented in categories including ‘Best Documentary’, ‘Best Advertisement’, ‘Best Short Film Cinematographer’, ‘Best Short Film Editor’, ‘Best Female Actor’, ‘Best Actor’, and ‘Best Director’. Dream World of Film makers (DWFM) is organizing the award show.

Likewise, under social video categories the award will be presented for ‘Best Social Media Visual’ (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) ‘Best YouTube Video’, ‘Best Challenging News Live’, ‘Best Encouragement Musically’, ‘Best Troll’, ‘Jury Award’ and ‘Public Choice Award’. The award show will be presented at an event held on February 10.
According to the president of organizing committee, Sabnam Mukhiya, presenting award in different categories is an attempt to encourage youths who are active and short films that are gaining popularity on social media. The jury members include editor of Shukrabar Weekly KP Dhungana, Film Director Sangita Shrestha and Film Editor Karuna Thapa.
