Driver killed in Makwanpur jeep accident

The accident involved a bus numbered (Ba Pra 03-006 Kha 5681) heading to Hetauda from Chitwan and the jeep numbered (Ba Pra 03-001 Cha 3012) traveling towards Chitwan from Manahari.

MAKWANPUR, March 28: A man was killed in an accident that involved collision between a bus and a jeep at Lothar area of the East-West Highway in Makwanpur on Friday morning.


The accident involved a bus numbered (Ba Pra 03-006 Kha 5681) heading to Hetauda from Chitwan and the jeep numbered (Ba Pra 03-001 Cha 3012) traveling towards Chitwan from Manahari.

The deceased has been identified as Sandesh Koirala, 32, of Raksirang Rural Municipality-4 of Makwanpur. He sustained severe head, leg and body injuries, and died during treatment at New Medical College in Bharatpur, according to Inspector Thakur Prasad Sapkota.


The bus driver has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
