Soon after Nepal was hit by an earthquake,  Dr. Pradhan along with her team of doctor friends formed a group to help earthquake victims.  First of all there was a need of fund. So everyone from her team started to request friends and relatives abroad for whatever help they can, though in a small amount because in that moment even a small help was a big one. Soon after fund were raised and sent by relatives and friends from China, USA, UK, HongKong, Australia and Dubai. They then needed a name for their group and they came up with a name called Help Fund A Relief Camp. They also made a Facebook page which helped further to collect money from abroad.

After arrival of money, this group HFRC decided to go to Gorkha, one of the worst hit district. Dr. Pradhan had a local contact in Gorkha, a respected businessesman and a social worker Mr . Bhaichandra Shrestha, who was active in providing relief materials himself in Gorkha. HFRC collected informations about Gorkha from Mr.Bhaichandra Shrestha and decided to go to Taklung VDC,  Gorkha.  Here in Kathmandu,  HFRC started collecting materials like blankets, medicines, food etc from various organizations like Salt Trading, Vivekshil Nepali,  Smart Paani, Kehi garau, KUSOM etc. HFRC then bought other materials that are needed. HFRC has a team of doctors and all the doctors did labor worklike loading and unloading trucks with sacks of rice and all other things that were very heavy. Dr . Pradhan with two other members first left for Gorkha a day ago to observe and arrange the camp. She first had a meeting with Mr.Bhaichandra Shrestha and collected further more informations about the camp site. Also she requested the locals to make some arrangements so that it would be easy for the team to conduct the camp in the best way possible. Next day the remaining team of doctors came to Gorkha in a SUV and a truck loaded with relief materials and medicines. After a short refreshment in Gorkha bazar, the team headed to the site. Just few kilometers away from Gorkha bazar there was this dangerous offroad and the team had to go through this harsh road for 2 hours. The road was so dangerous that there was a chace that he vehicle would slip away from the road in each and every bend. Yet the team reached the camp site and provided relief materials like tarpouline,  rice, lentils, salt, flour, mattresses, blankets etc for 100 families and also conducted a health camp treating over a hundred patients. After conducting the camp, the team returned to Kathmandu.

This was not the end. The team then conducted another camp in Sindhuupalchowk,  Aiselukhadka then Bhimtar Sindhuupalchowk,  then Sudal Kavre then Nasik, Kavre. The team is still planning for more work. Dr.Pradhan showed a wonderful dedication in serving the nation and people. Not only treating the patient she was involved in providing basic materials to earthquake victims. Despite her busy schedule in her hospital,  even after full 24 hour duty she conducted camps the next day. I believe she and her team is doing excellent work and its a big help to our society.
