KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Senior orthopedic surgeon Govinda KC has demanded to annul the affiliation granted to Janaki Medical College based in Janakpur.

In a press statement on Wednesday, Dr KC stated that Janaki Medical College has been enrolling students without conducting entrance examinations in recent years.

Dr KC has expressed displeasure over the college administration’s attempt to legalize the enrollment of the students by influencing a few justices of the Supreme Court as the case is sub-judice at the apex court reminding that the Patan High Court has already issued the interim order against the enrollment of students without conducting entrance examinations.

Alleging that there could be a nexus between the medical mafias and Supreme Court justices for validating the fake enrollment of students at Janaki Medical College, Dr KC warned that he would be forced to stage another round of agitation against such malpractices in judiciary.

“We urge the Institute of Medicine and other concerned government agencies initiate the process to annul the affiliation granted to Janaki Medical College,” KC said in the press statement.
