KATHMANDU, May 31: Ailing senior neuro-surgeon Dr Upendra Devkota has been felicitated with Dr Bal Ram Joshi Knowledge and Science National Award. Amidst a special program at Bansbari-based Neuro Hospital, patron of Dr Bal Ram Joshi Knowledge and Science National Award Academy, Chandra Kumari Joshi and chairperson Angur Baba Joshi jointly handed over the cash award, shawl and felicitation letter to Dr Devkota.

The academy started giving away the award since 1996 to an individual for their contribution in knowledge and science of the country, after the name of renowned scientists Dr Bal Ram Joshi. During the program, chairperson Joshi wished Dr Devkota for his better health and long life.
