KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Guinness world record holder former athlete and coach Hari Bahadur Rokaya is set to be felicitated with Gajaraj Joshi Memorial Sports Personality Award during NNIPA Player of the Year Award function to be held on Tuesday in the capital.
The sports personality award set up by Late Gajaraj Joshi Foundation carries a purse of Rs 25000 and trophy.
Nepal National and International Players Association (NNIPA) has been organizing the annual NNIPA Player of the Year Award since last 10 years.
According to NNIPA General Secretary Dipak Shrestha, best performer of 22 different games in the year 2072 BS will be felicitated on Tuesday.
Each player will be rewarded with Rs 10,000 each. NNPA will manage Rs 5,000 while the remaining half amount will be collected from respective associations.
