KATHMANDU, April 17: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala on Saturday expressed her dissatisfaction over the latest decision of the government taken on the Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) deal.

Talking to media persons at her own residence at Mandikhatar, she said the cabinet decision to withdraw the deal on MRPs printing by ignoring the case that is in the Court would not convey a good message at the diplomatic level.

She said country’s historical relationships with India should not be made weak in the name of MRPs printing issue.

Responding at a question Koirala said she was not in favor of changing the incumbent government and added the Nepali Congress was against anarchy at a time when there is necessity of new constitution.

“Nepali Congress would immediately bring clear policy on contemporary political issues,” said Koirala.

She said the Unified CPN (Maoist) should dismantle the paramilitary structure of the YCL, return the confiscated property to the owners and stop the rampant deforestation done in the name of squatters.

She said 3,000 - 4,000 PLA combatants could be integrated into the Nepal Army. She urged all the political parties to be serious for constitution writing, lasting peace and stability by keeping aside all the party interests.
