Likewise, Excelsior struggled past Bagmati School 18-17 in girls´ basketball and Ganesh School ousted Mahendra Bhawan 11-8 while TIA earned a walk-over.
In the boys´ basketball, Mount Glory defeated Bagmati 9-7, Ganesh beat Green Field 15-12, TIA edged out Little Buddha 13-6 and Golden Peak thrashed BST 36-7.
Meanwhile, the boys´ volleyball team of Man Singh struggled past the hosts 26-24, 25-23 while Kamana ousted Red Model 25-8, 25-20.
In the teachers´ volleyball match, Him Rashmi defeated the hosts 25-21, 29-27.
