“We met with Minister for Health Upendra Yadav today [Sunday] but he was indifferent to our demands. So we decided to start protest,” said Dr Dipendra Pandey, the president of GODAN.

They had earlier announced that they would not apply for adjustment under the new law.

GODAN has put forth 14 various demands. They have also demanded appointment of vice-chancellor at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (Bir Hospital) and promulgation of Federal Civil Service Act, better perks and benefits among other things.
