DoC unveils five-year action plan

KATHMANDU: The Department of Customs (DoC) has unveiled a five-year action plan to strengthen organizational capacity and make its activities more transparent.



According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the action plan that was prepared after holding series of consultations with all the concerned stakeholders has various programs to enhance capacity of the DoC. [break]



 Finance Minister Shankar Prsad Koirala ordered all the officials to work immediately in order to implant the action plan developed for the next five years, as per the release. "I am confident that the action plan will help DoC be more effective in the future," the release quoted Koirala as saying in the launching ceremony of the action plan.
