SOLUKHUMBU, June 16: A well-equipped polyclinic has come into operation in the district for the first time.

Member of the House of Representative Hem Kumar Rai inaugurated the 'Solu Health Care Centre' on Friday.

Parliamentarian Rai said that it was every citizen's right to receive the services available from health institution in a convenient manner.

The polyclinic is expected to provide health services to the local people when it will be difficult to the service recipients to access health services from district's only hospital, Solu.

Except CT-Scan, all other examinations can be done from digital technology, shared Managing Director of Polyclinic, Dr Rajendra Basnet.

"There was compulsion to refer patients outside for no availability of minor equipments for carrying out tests. We established the Polyclinic to end the situation", added Dr Basnet, who had already served the Solu Hospital for two years before this.

The polyclinic will provide 50 % percent discount to the patients above 60 while it is free for those certified disadvantaged people, informed Proprietor of Solu Health Care Centre, Chhitiz Nakarmi. RSS
