Diarrhea claims one more in Baitadi

DADELDHURA, Sept 10: Four-year-old Gomati Karki of Nwali VDC in Baitadi district died of diarrhea on Wednesday night. Karki died while being taken to the health post for treatment, District Administration Office Baitadi said.



According to the District Health Office, diarrhea has come under control in the district but there are still over 50 diarrhea patients in Nwali VDC, according to Chief District Office Keshav Prasad Ghimire. Ghimire added that the disease could spread further because of the incessant rainfall over the past one month.



Death toll in Baitadi due to diarrhea has now reached 10.
