MELAMCHI, Oct 26: The model human settlement constructed by artists Dhurmus-Suntali at Girounchaur of Sindhupalchowk is to be handed over to the concerned earthquake survivors on Friday.
Artist duo, Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, who got encouragement after they successfully completed the construction of 20 integrated houses for quake survivors at Pahari VDC of Kavre, have developed second round of model integrated settlement houses in Girounchaur.

The disable-friendly, child-friendly and environment-friendly earthquake-resist houses were developed adopting the concept of clean city and green city.
It is shared that the model houses were constructed in coordination with the National Reconstruction Authority, Girounchaur Integrated Model Human Settlement and Tourism Promotion Project, Melamchi Municipality and Department of Housing.
An integrated settlement equipped with 65 residential buildings, five children parks and a sports ground was developed in 30 Ropani land to benefit disadvantaged people of Melamchi municipality-8. RSS
