Devotees throng Pashupatinath temple on occasion of Mahashivaratri festival (In Pictures)

KATHMANDU, March 8: The Mahashivaratri festival is being observed with a huge fanfare across the country on Thursday.

Hindus flock to rivers, ponds and Shiva temples nearby their homes and offer prayers to Lord Shiva.

A special celebration can be seen in the Pashupatinath temple area on this day. Devotees from within and outside of the country have thonged Pashupatinath area from early morning.
