Huge numbers of devotees are thronging the goddess temples throughout the country on the occasion of Saptami, the seventh day of the Bada Dashain festival.
Devotees can be seen at the various goddess temples, paying homage to the goddess since the morning today. Temples like Guheshwari, Jaya Bageshwari, Maitidevi, Kalikastan, Naxal Bhagawati, Bhadrakali, Shobha Bhagawati, Bijeshwari, Indrayani, Raktakali, Swetakali, Dakshinkali, Chamundamai, Sundarimai, Bajrayogini were bustled among other temples in Kathmandu.

Similarly, temples outside the Kathmandu valley including Pathivara, Chhinamasta, Gahawamai, Palanchok, Nala Bhagawati, Chandeshwari, Manakamana, Bindhyabasini, Baglung Kalika, and Shaileshwari saw hordes of devotees paying homage to the goddess in temples.
It is believed that one's wishes are fulfilled by praying and paying homage to the goddess during this festival. The government has given five days festival holiday. Government offices, educational institutions, financial institutions are closed for the festival.
