KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Monsoon winds have weakened across the country, with a partial influence of local winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
The division reported that skies will remain generally cloudy over the hilly regions and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate rainfall is possible in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as at isolated spots in the hilly and Terai regions of the remaining provinces. One or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces could see heavy rainfall.
By nightfall, skies are expected to be generally cloudy in Koshi and Madhesh provinces and in other hilly regions, while remaining partly cloudy to mostly fair across the rest of the country. Moderate showers are likely in a few places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in isolated areas elsewhere, the MFD said.
