KATHMANDU, May 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday added 19.04 points to close at 2,688.55 points.
The secondary market that opened at 2,669.51 points, witnessed only nominal fluctuation in the first one hour. It swept to the day’s high at 2,705.57 points in the next one hour. In the second half of the trading time, the market, however, shed around 17 points before it closed for the day.
Nine hydropower companies issuing IPOs of Rs 1.982 billion

Three out of the 13 groups, including development bank, banking and mutual funds, had their market values increased by nominal values. Of the 10 losers, manufacturing and processing, lost the largest of 49.68 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, inclined 7.08 points. Daily turnover amount, however, declined to Rs 9.82 billion from Rs 10.69 billion on Wednesday.
Among the individual companies, 104 were gainers while 142 were losers. Ngadi Group Power had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 690.17 million.
Om Meghashree Pharmaceuticals Limited was registered as the topmost gainer. Barahi Hydropower Public Limited shed the largest of 9.99 percent of its market value.
