Demand for fixing the size of local bodies

KATHMANDU, July 26: Lawmakers speaking at the Zero Hour Session under the Legislature-Parliament today demanded addressing the landless squatters' problems in Attariya Municipality, demarcating the size of the local bodies at 1,000 and providing the franchise to the Nepalese Diaspora in foreign countries.

KATHMANDU, July 26: Lawmakers speaking at the Zero Hour Session under the Legislature-Parliament today demanded addressing the landless squatters' problems in Attariya Municipality, demarcating the size of the local bodies at 1,000 and providing the franchise to the Nepalese Diaspora in foreign countries.


They also drew the government's attention towards the urgency to put an end to the havoc wrecked by elephants and rhinos straying into the Madi Municipality of Chitwan.

They called on the government for information regarding the loss of lives and properties in various parts of the country due to landslide and floods caused by the incessant rainfall.


The lawmakers who put forth such demands include Dirgha Raj Bhant, Durga Poudel, Tula Harijan, Rajendra Tharu, Bhanu Mahara, Dhaniram Poudel, Prem Suwal, Nagendra Tharu and Prem Suwal
