Decisive protest ahead if Madhesi demand falls on deaf ears: Mahato

RAUTAHAT, March 12: Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato has warned of a decisive protest ahead if the government did not implement their 11-point demand by the second week of April.

Speaking at a press meet organized at the Rautahat district headquarters, Mahato expressed belief that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will address their memorandum submitted to him. He also warned that they would take to the streets if the prime minister turned deaf a ear to their demand.


Refuting the government comments that their movement has faltered, Mahato said, "We have changed its form - but not its essence. We are currently revitalizing out party.

He also expressed his resentment saying that the blockade did not remain effective at the custom points expect Birgunj where the blockade been staged under his leadership.

Meanwhile, he accused the Morcha leaders of betraying the Madhes movement.
