Voting concludes peacefully in 45 districts


Voting for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections concluded today across the country. A total of 12,235,993 voters were registered for today. Voting had started at 7 AM today. Apart from minor clashes, the election was largely peaceful.


Vote counting of first phase election begins

The vote counting of the first phase of the election of House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly has started in most of the districts. The counting has started after 5 pm following the meeting of all party in the respective districts. The security arrangement has beefed up in and around the counting center. Most of the districts have arranged the counting process behind security fencing.


Either of the alliance can win: Dahal


Post-election, either of the alliances is likely to secure a majority, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, chairman of CPN-Maoist (center) said. 


Province capital to be declared soon: PM Deuba


Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that province capital will be declared soon. 


Chilime's power supply restores


Power generation from the Chilime Hydropower Project which had stopped from Wednesday afternoon has now been restored. The power generation from the 22 MW-capacity hydel project had stopped after the problems in the power transmission line.
