PYUTHAN, July 27: The death toll from landslides that hit the district has climbed to 24 after seven more persons died in a landslide on Wednesday. 17 persons were confirmed dead till yesterday afternoon.
Seven persons were killed at Fopli-6 after the landslide buried their houses this morning. The deceased are Bahadur Narayan KC, Dorna KC, Pabitra KC, Jageshwor Budhathoki, Pima Budhathoki, Hari Bahadur KC and Bindu KC.
According to police, 20 persons are still missing in landslides and floods across the district. Dead bodies of five persons were found at Jhimruk River yesterday afternoon. Police said that their identification is yet to be ascertained.
