KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Continuous rainfall, floods, landslides and inundation have claimed 192 lives so far, with 30 people still missing.


Home Ministry Spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari said that 194 people have been injured in the natural disaster.

He said that all security agencies have been deployed for search, rescue and relief efforts following the floods and landslides. More than 4,500 disaster-affected individuals have been rescued so far.


It is said that food and other emergency relief materials have been provided to those affected by floods and landslides and the injured are receiving free treatment. The government has given high priority to search, rescue, and relief operations. 


Spokesperson Tiwari also mentioned that efforts are underway to clear the obstructed highways to resume transportation.
