MORANG, August 2: Dead body of a woman was found last night in a paddy field in Dhanpalthan-4, Morang. According to Deepak Shrestha, Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police of the district , the body of 37-year-old Jankidevi Mukhiya was found 50 meters away from her home by her family at around 11:45AM on Sunday.
Mukhiya’s body was found to have sustained minor injuries near her eyes and had blood running out of her nostrils. “The reason behind the woman’s death is still unknown at the moment,” DSP Shrestha said. “We have sent the body to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar for postmortem and an investigation on the incident has been launched,” Shrestha added.
According to police, Mukhiya had an argument with one of her neighbours regarding a duck which had gone missing a few days earlier. They have taken 36-year-old Anarwati Mukhiya, 55-year-old Bhutai Mukhiya and his wife Sati Mukhiya in custody for investigation.
