According to Program Officer Pushkar Sharma Rimal, the DDC directed this after receiving complaints of hassles by public due to absence of secretaries. [break]
The DDC has been directing the VDC secretaries time and again, who had opened offices at the district headquarters, Bidur, citing armed conflict, to return to the villages.
The DDC has now directed them to work in their own working field from the fourth week of November. Out of 61 VDCs of the district, only 41 VDCs have secretaries.
An official of the DDC said it is not easy to send them to villages as some of the secretaries have been doing works for other VDCs as well.
The DDC also directed them to prepare working schedule of the secretaries for the villages they work for and has directed to shut down offices in the district headquarters immediately, and to address the demands that come from social mobilization program by giving priority to the target group and agricultural programs.
