DHANGADI, May 4: All those who lost their lives in the avalanche at Volume Hill in Byas Rural Municipality-1 of Darchula on Tuesday afternoon have been identified.
The police said that the identity of the three people whose bodies were recovered on Wednesday while they were stuck on the top of Volume hill has been ascertained.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Tarkaraj Pandey said that the dead bodies that were pulled out from the avalanche site belong to 38 years old Kamala Kunwar of Duhun Rural Municipality-4 of Darchula, 18 years old Prabin Kunwar and 45 years old Nakki Doma Thapa of Budar in Jorayal Rural Municipality of Doti. DSP Pandey said that their bodies are being taken out from the avalanche site and brought to the district hospital for examination.
Ishwari Thapa, 28, and Samo Thapa, 15, of Budar, Jorayal Rural Municipality-2, Doti, are still missing in the avalanche. A joint team of the Armed Police Force (AFP) and the Nepal Police has reached the scene of the incident to search for them.
After the avalanche on Tuesday, five people who had gone to pick Yarsagumba disappeared along with their tarpaulin sheets they were living under, while seven people escaped and saved their lives.
