KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday jumped 19.56 points to close at 2,698.03 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,678.47 points and added 11 points in the first hour, while it remained stable for the next two-hour transactions. The market increased by an additional nine points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover

Two groups, including non-life insurance and mutual funds, lost 165.90 points and 0.02 points, respectively. Of 11 gainers, the finance index jumped 138.24 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, inclined 3.54 points. Daily turnover increased to Rs 9.47 billion from Rs 7.92 billion on Thursday.
Among the individual companies, 176 were gainers while 63 were registered as losers. NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited had the biggest turnover of its shares worth Rs 335.47 million.
Four companies, including Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Nepal Finance Ltd and Janaki Finance Company Limited, were the topmost gainers. Nyadi Hydropower Limited lost the highest of 10 percent of its market value.
