KATHMANDU, Nov 13: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday increased marginally by 0.31 points to close at 2,544.91 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,544.59 points and inclined to as high 2,547.8 as points before it fell to the day’s low at 2,530.56 points within the first one and a half hours. In the next moment, the index soared to the day’s high at 2,559.01 points during the similar time period. The market slid around 15 points in the remaining period before closing for the day.

Seven groups were the gainers, while hotels and tourism added the largest of 45.19 points. Of the six losers, non-life insurance declined by the highest of 28.87 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 0.15 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 3.49 billion from Rs 3.84 billion.
Among the individual companies, 123 were gainers while 124 were recorded as losers. Himalayan Power Partner Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 168.04 million.
Two companies, including Mabilung Energy Limited and Swet-Ganga Hydropower and Construction Limited, gained the highest of 10 percent. Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited shed the highest of 4.82 percent of its market value.
