Dahal visits Koirala

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The health of the newly-elected president of the Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala is gradually improving, according to the hospital sources.



Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal went to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) where Koirala is being treated Thursday morning and acquired information on Koirala´s health.[break]



Dahal congratulated Koirala on his election to the post of the party president and wished him speedy recovery.



On the occasion, the UCPN (Maoist) chairman requested Koirala for moving forward by forging consensus for putting to an end the present political stalemate.



Similarly, president of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) and the Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar met with Koirala this morning.



Gachchhadar congratulated Koirala on his election to the post of president of the Nepali Congress and wished him well.



Koirala was admitted to TUTH on Wednesday after he suffered from pneumonia. Doctors have advised five days of rest to Koirala as he suffers from chest infection.
