Dahal stands no chance in Madhes: Nidhi

RAUTHAT: Central member of the Nepali Congress (NC) Bimlendra Nidhi said on Saturday that the UCPN (Maoist) will suffer if it fields candidates from the Madhesi constituencies. Speaking at a press meet in Chandranigahpur, Rautahat on Saturday, Nidhi said, “It is not understandable why UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is planning to file candidacy from Madhes. His tricks are not going to work this time around.” He also assured that the Khil Raj Regmi-led government would hold the Constituent Assembly (CA) poll slated for November 19. “I am sure, our party will win the CA election with majority,” he said, adding, “Our party will lead the government after the November polls.” On a separate note, he said that former King Gyanendra Shah´s visit would not make any difference, adding that the institution of monarchy has been abolished for good.
