KATHMANDU, July 11: At a time when the talk about a change in the government is at its peak, Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has reached the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, to hold a decisive talk with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
A meeting of the party held earlier today had assigned party Chairman Dahal to build consensus among the political parties to form a national unity government. The meeting had also accused the ruling UML of running the government unilaterally and imposing totalitarianism in the name of nationalism.
“Chairman Dahal has been entrusted to take decisions on formation of the consensus government,” CPN (Maoist Center) Spokesperson Pampha Bhushal told Republica Online.
Following the decision of the party, Dahal has asked for time to meet the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Dahal also held talks with Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba at the office of NC Parliamentary Party, Singha Durbar.
