Dahal-Nepal faction proposes joint protest against PM Oli

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dahal-Nepal faction, Madhav Kumar Nepal has accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of destroying not only the party but also the country and has proposed an all-party protest agitation against it.

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dahal-Nepal faction, Madhav Kumar Nepal has accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of destroying not only the party but also the country and has proposed an all-party protest agitation against it.



Claiming that the dissolution of the parliament was a step to end the crisis, both in the country and within the NCP. Chairman Nepal, at an inter-party interaction held in Baneshwor on Wednesday, said that PM Oli is power hungry, and all political parties should protest together against his constitutional coup.

He accused PM Oli of taking steps against the whole system and said, “KP Oli is power hungry, so he has taken steps against the whole system, against federalism, against the republic and against the proportional representation system.”


Nepal said that he would not allow federalism, republic and proportional representation systems to be in crisis. He said that the constitution did not give the prime minister the right to dissolve parliament and expressed confidence that the court would overturn the unconstitutional move.
