“We would like to inform that there is no truth in the news report that UPCN (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda (Dahal) offered Rs 7.5 million to the family of Sirjana Tripathi in exchange for his grandson,” the statement reads.
The statement was posted on Facebook and Twitter by Dahal’s son Prakash, who has a son with Sirjana. In the news report, Dahal´s son is named Samriddhi. Earlier, Sirjana left Dahal’s family residence in Lazimpat and went to live with her parents in Pokhara after Prakash eloped with Bina Magar, a Maoist student leader.
