Cross-country petroleum pipeline test goes successful

BIRGUNJ, June 24: The underground petroleum pipeline from Motihari, India to Amlekhgunj, Nepal has completed its test. The test has been carried out after the completion of pipe laying works.

BIRGUNJ, June 24: The underground petroleum pipeline from Motihari, India to Amlekhgunj, Nepal has completed its test. The test has been carried out after the completion of pipe laying works.


Most probably, the petroleum pipeline would come into full-fledged operation from mid-July.

With a successful test operation, the technicians involved in the project have expressed their hope to bring the pipeline to operation after a month.


A joint team of technicians of Nepal and India had carried out the test by sending water tot eh pipeline from Motihari. As the test was successful we will soon bring into the 70.2-km pipeline to operation for cross-country petroleum supply, said the Petroleum Pipeline Project Office Simara.
