KATHMANDU, August 9: The CPN-UML Standing Committee and the Central Committee meetings are being held today.
The Standing Committee meeting of the party was originally scheduled to be held on Sunday. However, the meeting was put off for Monday as two factions within the UML are currently busy holding unity talks.
The Standing Committee meeting will be held at 11 AM to finalize the agenda for the Central Committee meeting, which is scheduled to be held at 3 PM. Both meetings will take place at Tulsi Lal Smriti Bhawan in Chyasal, Lalitpur.
According to sources, the meeting will discuss the preparation for the 10th general convention of the party. The party’s general convention is set for the second week of September.
