CPN (UML) draws attention of EC to extend deadline for voters roll update

KATHMANDU, July 17: CPN (UML) has drawn the attention of the Election Commission to extend the deadline for updating voters name list and to adopt appropriate process for the same.

KATHMANDU, July 17: CPN (UML) has drawn the attention of the Election Commission to extend the deadline for updating voters name list and to adopt appropriate process for the same. 


A team led by deputy leader of CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party, Subas Nembang, met with Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav at EC Office, Kantipath, and demanded to make arrangement of updating voters roll viewing their facilities and concerns.

Urging the EC to complete all elections within January 21, 2018, the CPN (UML) suggested to form a committee after immediately ending the uncertainty seen in formation of District Coordination Committee under local-level of the districts, where local-level election has already taken place. 


The party also said that the initiative of EC regarding government's dillydallying in formation of Electoral Constituency Determination Commission and formulating laws related to elections was positive. RSS
