KATHMANDU, June 10: A meeting of the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC) is underway at Singha Durbar on Wednesday to seek agreement on the contentions of the new constitution.
At the beginning of the today’s meet, Chairman Baburam Bhattarai briefed committee members on yet to be settled issues and proposed to settle them through the committee.
CA gives CPDCC two days to settle disputes
Although four major political powers sealed a 16-point deal, they are yet to reach accord on other remaining issues.
CPDCC Chairman Bhattarai, during yesterday’s meet had requested all the political parties representing the CA to come up with their opinion on disputes.
The CA has entrusted the CPDD to forge agreement on disputed issues by tomorrow. The committee will present its report in the CA meet scheduled for Thursday.
