Lawmakers vent ire as CPDCC meet fails to start

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Lawmakers representing the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC) were stopped by marshals as they tried to enter the meeting attended by top leaders for delaying the CPDCC meet called for 1 pm this afternoon.

After lawmakers vented their ire, CPDCC Chairman Baburam Bhattarai requested them to wait further and to keep patience saying that major parties are near to a deal.


Lawmakers have demanded to postpone the CPDCC meet till 7 pm on Sunday morning.

The CPDCC meeting that was called for 8 pm has not started as top leaders are yet to sign the agreement on province.
