Covid-19 cases in Nepal climb to 31 with one more case reported today

KATHMANDU, April 18: The number of the novel coronavirus cases in Nepal has reached 31, with one more case reported on Saturday.



On its Facebook update, the Ministry of Health and Population said that a 65-year-old man was found infected by the deadly virus today. The ministry has not disclosed the details of the man.

It is learn that the man is an Indian national who was under quarantine in Udayapur along with other 11 Indian men who were tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.  


12 news cases were reported in a mosque in Udayapur district, and two cases in Chitwan district on Friday. The ministry has yet to disclose the details of people infected who are currently undergoing treatment at Biratnagar-based corona hospital. This is most number of cases reported in a single day in the country. 


The MoHP said that it has expedited testing of suspected people and deployed rapid medical test teams in most of the districts.
