KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The country is still under the influence of the monsoon winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Heavy rainfall forecast in Bagmati, several provinces
The skies are forecast to remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy conditions. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as at one or two places in the hilly and Tarai regions of other provinces.
By tonight, the weather is likely to remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and partly cloudy elsewhere. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and Tarai regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
