Counting of votes in five rural municipalities in Nuwakot concludes, NC wins post of chairperson in four

NUWAKOT, May 16: The counting of votes in five local units of Nuwakot has been completed. The local units, where the counting of votes has been completed include Tadi, Tarakeshwar, Myangang, Kispang and Suryagadhi rural municipalities.

Among these local bodies, the Nepali Congress (NC) has won the post of chairperson of Tadi and Tarakeshwor rural municipalities and CPN (Maoist Center) has won the post of vice-chairman. NC has won the chairman and vice-chairman of Myangang and Suryagadhi rural municipalities. Similarly, CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) won the chairmanship and vice-chairmanship respectively in Kispang rural municipality.

Santman Tamang of NC is the chairman of Tadi Rural Municipality while Sanju Pyakurel of CPN (Maoist Center) is the vice chairperson. Similarly, Shiva Adhikari of NC is the chairman of Tarakeshwar Rural Municipality and Hari Prasad Rimal of CPN (Maoist Center) is the vice chairman.

Likewise, in Kispang Rural Municipality, Birbal Tamang of the CPN (UML) has been elected as the chairman while Arjun Neupane of CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as the vice chairman. Asha Tamang and Sita Tamang of NC have been elected as the chairperson and vice-chairperson of Myangang Rural Municipality respectively. In the case of Suryagadhi Rural Municipality, Sant Bahadur Ghale and Manju Budhathoki of NC have been elected as the chairperson and vice-chairperson of Suryagadhi Rural Municipality, respectively.
