Corruption case filed against former Madhesh minister and seven others

The case, filed at the Special Court, accuses the group of misusing public funds while building a pond on land belonging to the Sagar Nath Forest Project.

KATHMANDU, May 18: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against former Madhesh Province Minister Bijay Kumar Yadav and seven others over alleged irregularities in the construction of a pond on government-owned land.


The case, filed at the Special Court, accuses the group of misusing public funds while building a pond on land belonging to the Sagar Nath Forest Project. Those charged include Bagmati Municipality Mayor Bharat Thapa and former chief Lila Kumari Moktan.
