Basanti Devi Sah, 32, the wife of constable Manoj Kumar Sah, was murdered by using sharp weapons. She was killed at her home at Jatuwa of Biratnagar-18 where she was sleeping with her children. Her husband is posted at Area Police Office in Mirchaiya, Siraha.
Police have suspected that the murder might be the result of some personal enmity.
