SANKHUWASABHA, June 16: Attempts to rescue four missing people has been affected after continuous landslide at Nunkofyakisanda dam side of Arun III hydropower plant in Sankhuwasabha. Meanwhile, police have suspected two more to be missing.
“We are taking support from Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and locals. However, rescue efforts have been hindered because of continuous landslide,” Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shyam Kumar Saru Magar of the District Police Office said.
Four people along with a dozer went missing after being swept by a landslide at around 8:40 pm yesterday.
Those missing have been identified as Pradip Shahi (32) of Siuna rural municipality, Kalikot, Prem Pariyar (44) of Chandranath Municipality-1, Jumla, Budhan Munda (55), a dozer operator from Jharkhand, India and Nanda Kishor, (45), electronic engineer from Bihar, India.
