Speaking at a function organized by Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on the occasion of the International Anti-corruption Day, he said the society could be free from corruption when the government evaluate a person through his/her works.[break]
He claimed that the corruption in the society could be controlled when the government made its activities transparent and encouraged good governance and for this the nation needs a genuine leader.
During the program, President of Legislature-Parliament State Management Committee Ramnath Dhakal said the nation faces the severe corruption due to political instability.
President Dhakal said it is unfortunate to see the activities of the present government that was formed with the slogan ‘Zero Tolerance against Corruption’ and urged the government to appoint the right candidates for the constitutional bodies in the basis of their experiences and capacities.
Secretary of CIAA Bhagawati Kafle said the corruption could be controlled when the parties become sincere to people and expressed his commitment to implement the Supreme Court (SC) directives immediately right after the commission received the decision formally.
Chairman of Nepal Bar Association Prem Bahadur Khadka suggested the government to bring those who speak against the SC directive into book.
Chairman of Transparency International Nepal Bishnu Bahadur KC, General Secretary of Federation of Nepalese Journalists Om Sharma and others urged all to contribute from their respective sectors to end corruption in the society.
Talking about experience
